LWHS Alumni Past President Carol Webster presents a check for $1200 from the LWHS Alumni Foundation to LWHS Principal Dr. Elvis Epps to support the Thanksgiving food drive for students at Lake Worth High School.
DONATION FOR NEW BAND UNIFORMS
The new uniform “reveal” with Dr. Chris and MaryJo Petterson, Dr. Elvis Epps, Tiffany Cox and Trojan Sound Band Members.
I have some exciting news to share with you. One of our LWCHS grads, Dr. Chris Petterson and his wife, Mary Jo, donated $4000.00 to purchase new band shirts which will not only be cool to look at, but cool to wear in our warm South Florida weather. Dr. Petterson and his wife had earlier donated $1000.00 for the band competition trip to Atlanta.
The uniform drive is still in progress, but with a hefty $40,000.00 bill, these new shirts will make our band members look snappy and full of rhythm until the $40,000.00 goal can be met! Amazing what “new threads” will do for the self esteem of the band members! AND…who knows maybe it will draw in some new band members.

2017 DOLLARS FOR SCHOLARS GOLF TOURNAMENT
On Saturday, October 28th, the Lake Worth Dollars for Scholars, in partnership with Lake Worth High School Alumni Foundation, held the 16th Annual LW DFS Golf Tournament at Palm Beach National Golf Club in Western Lake Worth. The forecast looked a bit uncertain, but it didn’t keep away 84 excited, mellow golfers ready for a great day of golf and over 30 volunteers ready to make sure they got their amazing LW DFS experience.
$1,000,000.00 DINNER
The LWHS Alumni Foundation sponsored a dinner to celebrate Dollars for Scholars awarding $1,000,000.00 in scholarships since 1999. The grand gala was held at Atlantis Country Club on May 23, 2017.
